Microsoft Dynamics formerly Microsoft Dynamics AX is one of the Microsoft’s robust topnotch Enterprise Resource Planning ERP Tool which is aimed to cater requirements of an Enterprise business.
Two Brothers Preben and Erik Damgaard founded Damgaard Data in a quest to create a computer-based accounting software for business entrepreneurs. Microsoft Dynamics AX, was formerly named as IBM Axapta. During December 2000, Damgaard Data merged with Navision Software A/S to form Navision-Damgaard which was later acquired by Microsoft who released Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 in 2006 and the next version in 2008 subsequently. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 was later released which was multilingual with a feature for 25 languages.
The first major revision of the platform with a completely new UI delivered through a browser-based HTML5 client was later Microsoft Dynamics AX7. Later Microsoft dropped the nomenclature of year and version and released a completely rebranded Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations.
In July 2017, Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and an additional version was released e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail.
